Hi, I’m Liz! I’m a proud Iowa native, a passionate digital consultant, and a content creator dedicated to helping nonprofits, small businesses, and individuals amplify their stories. Whether I’m crafting a compelling campaign or guiding a client through the intricacies of digital strategy, I approach every project with authenticity, creativity, and a commitment to impact.
It’s been a weird and wonderful journey
I grew up in Dubuque, Iowa, surrounded by the kindness and resilience that define the Midwest. Now calling Des Moines home, I’ve carried those values with me throughout my journey—hard work, integrity, and an unwavering belief in the power of community.
While earning my MBA from the University of Dubuque, I explored a range of interests, from finance to psychology to social media. My curiosity about people—what makes them tick and how they connect—has always guided me. Studying abroad during college, with courses in arts and culture, taught me lessons that went far beyond the classroom. I learned about shared humanity, how we all fit together, and how the stories we tell can bring us closer.
Like many people, 2020 caused me to hit the reset button on my life plans, and I’m endlessly grateful it did. It was then that I gave myself permission to lean into my love for social media and storytelling, focusing on causes I care deeply about. Over the past five years, I’ve found my voice, built confidence, and embraced the courage to pursue work that feels meaningful and true to who I am.
I’ve had the privilege of keeping Iowans informed through my work with Iowa Starting Line and Courier Newsroom, amplifying the missions of organizations like ACLU and Planned Parenthood, and helping small business owners and nonprofit leaders engage their audiences through impactful content. This chapter of my life has been transformational—not just in the opportunities I’ve had, but in the self-discovery and growth I’ve experienced.
At the heart of everything I do is a desire to create connection, amplify voices, and inspire action. Whether I’m partnering with brands, writing for newsrooms, or speaking at events, my goal is always the same: to bring people together and make a positive impact.
By leaning into my authentic self and pursuing work that aligns with my passions, I’ve created my dream life. I get to collaborate with incredible people, help organizations and communities thrive, and use my platform to spark meaningful change. I am evidence that when you allow yourself to step out of your comfort zone and fully embrace who you are, amazing things can happen.
